THE SALVATION EQUATION
We now KNOW — from the true meaning (revealed in chapters 9 & 10) behind God’s creation of an “Israelite Bondage-to-Promise-Land” story — the Biblical path to salvation (or obtaining eternal life in the Kingdom of God) is an A + B = C equation:
(A) Mankind’s Repentance
+ (B) God’s Forgiveness of Sin
= (C) Eternal Life
In other words, for a soul to obtain eternal life it MUST REPENT of SIN — which is totally and completely defined by a soul making a choice to turn from willful disobedience to willful obedience of God’s 10 Love Commandments. When a soul chooses to live its daily life on Earth in this manner, God will choose (on the Day of Atonement) to apply Christ’s “sinless sacrificial spiritual death” as full payment (or ransom) for the sins that soul committed on Earth. And when THIS happens, it means that soul has officially been “forgiven of its sin”, because the “spiritual death penalty” for the “wages of sin” no longer applies to it, which automatically returns the soul to perfect spiritual union with God, which means eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
Now, please understand term “B” in the salvation equation is a fact for EVERY single soul on planet Earth, no matter when or where they lived, or if they ever heard about the story of Jesus or not! In other words, “forgiveness for sins” is available to ALL mankind because Jesus died for EVERYONE! Do you understand? See, millions of people have lived and died on Earth having never heard of him or his story, but did that matter towards the eternal destiny of their soul? NO!!! Nor do your thoughts on the matter. Truth is truth! It cannot be changed. No matter what you think (or don’t think) about the “earthly story of Jesus”, it will not change the fact that “B” still sits there available to you.
“He (Jesus Christ) died for ALL so that all who live … might live no longer for themselves, but to spend their lives pleasing Christ who died and rose again for them” (II Corinthians 5:15, Living Bible).
Many people today (mostly in Churchianity) think ALL they have to DO to obtain eternal life is hear the story of Jesus (born of a virgin, died on a cross, rose again, etc.) and then make a mental acknowledgment that that story is true (meaning he did those things for them). Then, they sit and foolishly wonder what happens to all the people who never hear the story of Jesus? Friend, this is ALL a satanic LIE!!! Again, your thoughts (or lack of thoughts) concerning “B” in the salvation equation will NOT change the fact that God’s “forgiveness of sin” (through Jesus) is available to you, nor will they obtain your soul eternal life. The ONLY thing that will is YOUR REPENTANCE.
So, knowing all of this, it is profitable that we take a long look at ALL the Bible has to say about REPENTANCE. And there is a lot! This chapter will focus on “Truth” and how it relates to “repentance”.
DOING TRUTH
In the last chapter we learned someone who “obeys the 10 Love Commandments” is someone who thinks and does the deeds of LOVE. Well, in this chapter I want you to learn that “LOVE” equals “TRUTH” which means God is Truth because He is Love! How cool is that? Therefore, someone who REPENTS of sin by choosing to “obey the 10 Love Commandments” is not only someone who thinks and does the deeds of love, but they are also someone who thinks and does the deeds of “truth”
Listen to the Psalmists:
“Thy law is the TRUTH … and all thy (10 Love) Commandments are TRUTH” (Psalms 119:142-151).
“I have chosen the WAY of TRUTH … I will run the way of thy (10 Love) Commandments … I shall keep thy Law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart” (Psalms 119:30-34).
Do you see? Pretty simple, isn’t it? Listen to Jesus:
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that DOETH TRUTH cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God (love)” (John 3:19-21).
See “truth” is something that can be DONE, because it means “to obey the 10 Love Commandments”. But those souls on Earth who willingly desire to live in disobedience to the 10 Love Commandments prove by their evil thoughts and evil deeds that they hate God, hate light, hate love, and hate the truth! And for THAT their soul will be condemned on Judgment Day.
Listen to Paul:
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the LOVE of the TRUTH, that they might be saved … That they all might be damned who believed not the TRUTH, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (II Thessalonians 2:10-12).
Could it be any clearer? Notice how Paul juxtapositions “unrighteousness” with a person who “believes NOT the truth”. Friend, listen to me, the only reason a person’s soul will not be SAVED (from eternal spiritual death) in the end is because while they lived on Earth they willingly wanted to think and do deeds of “unrighteousness” which are fully encompassed by “disobeying the 10 Love Commandments”. (Please see chapter 11 Love for a detailed list of the 10 Love Commandments — the thoughts and deeds of truth!)

TO KNOW THE TRUTH
Jesus spoke some powerful words that almost everyone can recite, but most people completely miss the point of what he meant by them, listen:
“IF ye CONTINUE in my word, THEN are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32).
By what condition do we prove we “know the truth”? Do you see it? ONLY if we “continue in his words”! But what are they? Friend, all Jesus continually preached to people was for them to REPENT of their sins by aligning their life up to God’s 10 Holy Love Commandments. That is it! A person who willingly strives to live like that on a daily basis proves they know the truth, they know God, they know love, and therefore they have been set free from the bondage of sin and are on their WAY to obtaining eternal life in the Promise Land.
Now I can finish John’s words from the last chapter:
“And hereby we do KNOW that we KNOW HIM (GOD), if we keep his (10 Love) Commandments. He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM (I John 2:3-4).
See, love and truth (and therefore God’s Holy Spirit) is not in you if you go around willingly disobeying God’s 10 Love Commandments. In fact, this brings up another point … God’s “Holy Spirit” is actually called the “Spirit of Truth”!
Listen to Jesus:
“But when the Comforter (Holy Spirit) is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, EVEN the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, which proceedeth from the Father” (John 15:26).
See, the Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit, which means it is the Spirit of Love (or the Spirit of Truth). Therefore, it is easy to tell if you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you … just check and see if you have a burning desire in your spirit to want to love God and your neighbor as yourself by obeying the 10 Love Commandments. Pretty simple, huh? (More about the Holy Spirit in the next chapter, chapter 13 Holy Spirit.)
Well, there you have it! Mankind’s part of “REPENTANCE” (to willfully turn from disobeying to obeying the 10 Love Commandments) in the salvation equation is simply someone who makes a decision in their life to follow the WAY of TRUTH! And that spiritual path will always lead to eternal life in the Promise Land.
