THE SALVATION EQUATION

We now KNOW — from the true meaning (revealed in chapters 9 & 10) behind God’s creation of an “Israelite Bondage-to-Promise-Land” story — the Biblical path to salvation (or obtaining eternal life in the Kingdom of God) is an A + B = C equation:

(A) Mankind’s Repentance
+  (B) God’s Forgiveness of Sin
          =  (C) Eternal Life

In other words, for a soul to obtain eternal life it MUST REPENT of SIN — which is totally and completely defined by a soul making a choice to turn from willful disobedience to willful obedience of God’s 10 Love Commandments.  When a soul chooses to live its daily life on Earth in this manner, God will choose (on the Day of Atonement) to apply Christ’s “sinless sacrificial spiritual death” as full payment (or ransom) for the sins that soul committed on Earth.  And when THIS happens, it means that soul has officially been “forgiven of its sin”, because the “spiritual death penalty” for the “wages of sin” no longer applies to it, which automatically returns the soul to perfect spiritual union with God, which means eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

Now, please understand term “B” in the salvation equation is a fact for EVERY single soul on planet Earth, no matter when or where they lived, or if they ever heard about the story of Jesus or not!  In other words, “forgiveness for sins” is available to ALL mankind because Jesus died for EVERYONE!  Do you understand?  See, millions of people have lived and died on Earth having never heard of him or his story, but did that matter towards the eternal destiny of their soul?   NO!!!  Nor do your thoughts on the matter.  Truth is truth!  It cannot be changed.  No matter what you think (or don’t think) about the “earthly story of Jesus”, it will not change the fact that “B” still sits there available to you.

“He (Jesus Christ) died for ALL so that all who live … might live no longer for themselves, but to spend their lives pleasing Christ who died and rose again for them” (II Corinthians 5:15, Living Bible).

Many people today (mostly in Churchianity) think ALL they have to DO to obtain eternal life is hear the story of Jesus (born of a virgin, died on a cross, rose again, etc.) and then make a mental acknowledgment that that story is true (meaning he did those things for them).  Then, they sit and foolishly wonder what happens to all the people who never hear the story of Jesus?   Friend, this is ALL a satanic LIE!!!  Again, your thoughts (or lack of thoughts) concerning “B” in the salvation equation will NOT change the fact that God’s “forgiveness of sin” (through Jesus) is available to you, nor will they obtain your soul eternal life.  The ONLY thing that will is YOUR  REPENTANCE.

So, knowing all of this, it is profitable that we take a long look at ALL the Bible has to say about REPENTANCE.  And there is a lot!  This chapter will focus on the “Holy Spirit” and how it relates to “repentance”.

FEAST OF WEEKS (PENTECOST)

At the end of chapter 9 Moses, I mentioned the 7 Holy Feasts God initiated with the Israelites in the wilderness.  I told you each of them were a secret prophetic event concerning the Messiah that he would fulfill on that VERY day during a Jewish lunar calendar year.  Then, I told you the Messiah fulfilled the first 3 Feasts on there exact days during his 1st Coming to Earth during mankind’s 4,000th year.  Well, in this chapter (concerning the Holy Spirit) we now arrive at the fulfillment of God’s 4th Feast.  And you might be stunned to learn how “receiving the Holy Spirit” is intimately connected to one’s decision to REPENT of sin by making the willful choice to “obey God’s 10 Love Commandments”

God named the 4th Feast the “Feast of Weeks” for it was to be observed 7 weeks and 1 day (or 50 days) after the Feast of Firstfruits.  This was the day the Jews claim God met with them at the base of Mount Sinai and thunderously spoke the 10 Love Commandments to them!  (And the Bible’s chronology of the Israelite’s journey after escaping Egypt seems to verify this assertion.)  In Jesus’ day, after the Greek language had become prevalent in Israel, this day was referred to as “Pentecost” meaning “50”.  It was on this VERY day (50 days after Christ’s resurrection on Firstfruits) that the Holy Ghost fell on the believers gathered in the Upper Room!

Do you see the connection now between God’s giving of the “10 Love Commandments” and giving of the “Holy Spirit”?  Friend, they are the same thing!  In other words, the moment your spirit finds the desire to REPENT of sin (by willingly choosing to align your life up to the 10 Love Commandments) it proves God’s Spirit of Holiness is entering your spirit.  Or, in other words, the Holy Spirit!

Listen to Peter confirm this:

“We are his (Jesus) witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that OBEY Him” (Acts 5:32).

See, God gives His Holy Spirit to those people who choose to obey His 10 Love Commandments.

Listen to Jesus verify this very same thing:

“If ye love me, KEEP my (10 Love) Commandments.  And I (Jesus) will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of Truth … He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him” (John 14:15-21).

Wow, do you see it?  Jesus is literally saying here that IF we choose to keep the 10 Love Commandments, THEN Jesus will ask God to FILL us with His Holy Spirit!  Incredible.  (Please read this chapter in the book to find out how I was filled with the Holy Spirit after fully aligning my life up to God’s 10 Love Commandments.)

Now, on the other hand, listen to the martyr Stephen’s words confirming the exact opposite … that a person who does NOT obey God’s 10 Love Commandments (even a religious leader, like the Pharisees Stephen was talking too!) is actually someone who is RESISTING the Holy Spirit from coming into their heart:

“Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always RESIST the HOLY GHOST … who have received the law (10 Love Commandments) by the disposition of angels, and have NOT kept it” (Acts 7:51-53).

BORN AGAIN

What else can I say?  “Repentance” leads to the infilling of God’s Holy Spirit.  And this “infilling” of God’s Holy Spirit into your heart (spirit) is literally what the Bible’s term “BORN AGAIN” means!  Jesus told Nicodemus:

“Except a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God … The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and wither it goeth: so is every one that is BORN of the SPIRIT” (John 3:3-8).

See, it is an invisible “event” because it happens in your spirit!  But when the Holy Spirit enters you, its effects can clearly be seen by others, for these are the traits your spirit will now exhibit:

“But the fruit of the (Holy) Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: Against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts” (Galatians 5:22-24).

Do you recognize these “character traits” of the Holy Spirit are really just the descriptions of someone who lives their life in accordance to the 10 Love Commandments?  Do you see that?  For patience, gentleness, goodness, etc … they are all just nuances of love!  Yes, the Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit and since He is Love, then the Holy Spirit is really just the Spirit of Love.  And it is fairly easily to detect if someone has these traits pouring out of their heart (by listening to them speak and watching what they do) just as it is easy to hear and see the effects of the wind!

Listen to the Apostle John:

“Little children, abide in him; that when he (Jesus) shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming, If ye know that he (Holy Spirit) is righteous, ye know that every one that DOETH righteousness is BORN of Him” (I John 2:28-29).

“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is BORN of God, and knoweth God” (I John 4:7).

Well, there you have it!  If you find yourself with an unstoppable desire to want to “obey God’s 10 Love Commandments” it proves your spirit has been born again of God’s Holy Spirit, and thus you have REPENTED of your sins.  And this means you are walking the narrow spiritual path through the wilderness that leads to entrance into the Promise Land and eternal life for your soul!
