THE SALVATION EQUATION

We now KNOW — from the true meaning (revealed in chapters 9 & 10) behind God’s creation of an “Israelite Bondage-to-Promise-Land” story — the Biblical path to salvation (or obtaining eternal life in the Kingdom of God) is an A + B = C equation:

(A) Mankind’s Repentance
+  (B) God’s Forgiveness of Sin
          =  (C) Eternal Life

In other words, for a soul to obtain eternal life it MUST REPENT of SIN — which is totally and completely defined by a soul making a choice to turn from willful disobedience to willful obedience of God’s 10 Love Commandments.  When a soul chooses to live its daily life on Earth in this manner, God will choose (on the Day of Atonement) to apply Christ’s “sinless sacrificial spiritual death” as full payment (or ransom) for the sins that soul committed on Earth.  And when THIS happens, it means that soul has officially been “forgiven of its sin”, because the “spiritual death penalty” for the “wages of sin” no longer applies to it, which automatically returns the soul to perfect spiritual union with God, which means eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

Now, please understand term “B” in the salvation equation is a fact for EVERY single soul on planet Earth, no matter when or where they lived, or if they ever heard about the story of Jesus or not!  In other words, “forgiveness for sins” is available to ALL mankind because Jesus died for EVERYONE!  Do you understand?  See, millions of people have lived and died on Earth having never heard of him or his story, but did that matter towards the eternal destiny of their soul?   NO!!!  Nor do your thoughts on the matter.  Truth is truth!  It cannot be changed.  No matter what you think (or don’t think) about the “earthly story of Jesus”, it will not change the fact that “B” still sits there available to you.

“He (Jesus Christ) died for ALL so that all who live … might live no longer for themselves, but to spend their lives pleasing Christ who died and rose again for them” (II Corinthians 5:15, Living Bible).

Many people today (mostly in Churchianity) think ALL they have to DO to obtain eternal life is hear the story of Jesus (born of a virgin, died on a cross, rose again, etc.) and then make a mental acknowledgment that that story is true (meaning he did those things for them).  Then, they sit and foolishly wonder what happens to all the people who never hear the story of Jesus?   Friend, this is ALL a satanic LIE!!!  Again, your thoughts (or lack of thoughts) concerning “B” in the salvation equation will NOT change the fact that God’s “forgiveness of sin” (through Jesus) is available to you, nor will they obtain your soul eternal life.  The ONLY thing that will is YOUR  REPENTANCE.

So, knowing all of this, it is profitable that we take a long look at ALL the Bible has to say about REPENTANCE.  And there is a lot!  This chapter will focus on the “Love of Money” and how it relates to “repentance”.

THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

The Bible makes a STUNNING statement, written by the Apostle Paul under inspiration of the Holy Spirit:

“For the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of ALL evil” (I Timothy 6:10).

Wow!  In other words, the root reason a person will go around willingly disobeying the 10 Love Commandments is because in their heart (thoughts, desires, and emotions) they love MONEY!  And for that reason, they will hate, steal, lie, covet, blaspheme, and think and do every other non-loving 10 Commandment sin in their idolatrous pursuit of it.  Consequently, a person’s choice to REPENT of sin (in order to obtain eternal life) must begin with them uprooting the “love of money” out of their heart.

Jesus said it like this:

“No servant (soul) can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other, Ye CANNOT serve GOD (spirit) and MAMMON (wealth, assets)” (Luke 16:13).

Listen, money can only buy you worthless dirt (materialistic things made of atoms) but God is the priceless invisible “spirit material (soul)” inside of every living thing (human or animal) on Earth.  (Please read chapter 2.)  Thus, you MUST make a choice in your life which one you will truly love; will you love spirit (God) or will you just love physical things made of atoms (dirt)?

This decision is crucial in your life!  For it is the very HEART of REPENTANCE!  The moment you stop caring about physical things (dirt) and start caring out spiritual things (people) is the moment you will finally be able to LOVE GOD (spirit) with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself, which as Jesus verified is truly all someone has to DO to obtain eternal life for their soul!!!

See your repentant (change of) heart (with respect to no longer loving money) will compel you to no longer want to steal from people but give to them, no longer want to lie to them but tell them the truth, no longer want to hate them but forgive them!  And on and on with each of the 10 LOVE Commandments.  Do you see?  You will finally be able to truly LOVE people by obeying the 10 Love Commandments!  And THAT has always been the spiritual path for a human soul that leads to eternal life in the Promise Land.

ZACCHAEUS

One day Jesus visited the home of a materialistically rich man named Zacchaeus.  The Bible does not divulge what Jesus was talking about with the man over dinner, but it does report Zacchaeus response:

“Behold, Lord, the HALF of my GOODS (wealth, assets) I (will) give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold” (Luke 19:8).

Jesus replied:

“This day is SALVATION come to this house … For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:9-10).

Wow!!!  No “accepting Jesus” prayer was mumbled, no church attendance was needed, no recognition that Jesus was the Messiah (Savior) was needed, and yet this man was INSTANTLY saved and on his way to obtaining eternal life!  In fact, Jesus hadn’t even gone to the cross yet to die for mankind’s sins.

How could this be?  What made the difference?  What does a person (soul) truly have to DO to obtain eternal life?  Oh, come on reader, surely you can see the truth in this story of Zacchaeus!  He MUST REPENT of sin!  And that starts by uprooting the “love of money” out of one’s heart!  See, Zacchaeus was in essence saying, “I will no longer love money, which I will prove by giving half of mine away, nor will I continue to do all the sins that go along with lustfully desiring it!”

Then, all Zacchaeus had to DO from that day onward was to continue living in that repentant (loving) manner and he would obtain eternal life, but if he ever turned back to a lifestyle of willful sin, he would then be back on the road that leads to destruction!  So, this story proves the “salvation equation” above is truth; mankind’s part (A) in obtaining eternal life is to REPENT.

LABOR NOT TO BE RICH

The Bible has much to say about “money” and how a heart lustfully set on acquiring it is a heart that will quickly be on the (non-loving) path to hell.  I greatly encourage you to read this chapter in the book, for it is amazing.  But for now, here in this brief online chapter summary, I will leave you with a few wise Scripture passages pertaining to the correct viewpoint you should hold of “money”.

“labour NOT to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom” (Proverbs 23:4).

“Woe unto you that are (materialistically) rich!  For ye have received your consolation.  Woe unto you that are full!  For ye shall hunger.  Woe unto you that laugh now!  For ye shall mourn and weep” (Luke 6:24-25).

“Love not the world, neither the things (wealth, assets) that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (I John 2:15).

“Lay NOT up for yourself treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.  For where your treasure is, there will your heart (love) be also” (Matthew 6:19-21).

“You can be sure of this: The Kingdom of Christ and of God will NEVER belong to anyone who is impure or greedy, for a greedy person is really an idol worshipper — he loves and worships the good things of this life more than God.  Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the terrible wrath of God is upon all those who DO them.  Don’t even associate with such people” (Ephesians 5:5-7, Living Bible).

“Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15).

“How hardly shall they that have riches (wealth, assets) enter into the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:23).

“Do you want to be TRULY rich?  You already are if you are happy and GOOD.  After all, we didn’t bring any money with us when we came into the world, and we can’t carry away a single penny when we die.  So we should be well satisfied WITHOUT money if we have enough food and clothing.  But people who long to be rich soon begin to do all kinds of wrong things to get money, things that hurt them and make them evil-minded and finally send them to HELL itself.  For the love of money is the first step towards ALL kinds of sin” (I Timothy 6:6-10, Living Bible).
